School Outreach Program

Removing barriers to reach our community’s children and families — bringing professional counseling directly into schools so no student is left without support.

Therapy comes to your students, not the other way around.

Mosaic’s School Outreach Program removes financial and transportation barriers by bringing licensed therapists directly into schools and through teletherapy, so students get help where they already are.

About Mosaic's School Outreach Program

Since 2012, Mosaic Counseling’s School Outreach Program has been a vital resource for hundreds of K-12 students across West Michigan. We partner directly with school districts to bring affordable, professional mental health support to students who might otherwise go without it.

We currently serve 36 schools across 8 districts in both Ottawa and Kent Counties, and our reach continues to grow. Whether cost, transportation, or stigma has been the barrier, Mosaic meets students where they are.

What sets us apart
Individual and Group Counseling

Our therapists provide in-school counseling sessions for students who cannot afford care or face transportation challenges.

Suicide Prevention Training

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is a nationally recognized, evidence-based technique. We train school staff to recognize warning signs and respond effectively; at no cost to the school.

Crisis Assistance

In the event of a tragedy at school, Mosaic has licensed therapists available to provide immediate, on-site support to students and staff when it matters most.

Frequently Asked Questions

What you need to know

A lot of schools know their students need mental health support but aren’t sure what partnering with an outside organization actually involves, or whether it’s the right fit. We get that. Here’s exactly what the process looks like when you reach out to Mosaic, from first conversation to therapists in your building.

There are no complicated contracts, no long lead times, and no pressure to commit before you’re ready. Most partnerships are up and running faster than schools expect.

Our School Outreach Program began in 2012 and has grown steadily every year since. We now serve dozens of schools across multiple districts throughout Ottawa and Kent Counties.

We are currently active in 36 schools across 8 districts. Our reach continues to expand as more districts partner with Mosaic to bring professional mental health services to their students.

Mosaic works to remove financial barriers entirely. In most cases, services are provided at no cost to students, and we work with school districts to make program participation accessible regardless of budget constraints.

Getting started is straightforward. Reach out using the contact form below and our team will walk you through the partnership process, no commitment required to have that first conversation.

Already working with a different partner? If your current service is creating long waits or disruptions for students, contact us. We can often get students in faster, and keep them with the same therapist throughout the school year.
